Welcome to Ekens Preschool!

Eken is Borlänge Municipality's round-the-clock operation for children from one year old up to the spring term when the student turns 13. We are open 24/7 all year round and have children from all over the municipality. We have 16 educators divided into three shifts (daytime, shift times, night work). This means that relationship building is something we place great importance on, as well as safety and care.

Eken is centrally located. This allows us to easily visit both the library in the center, Science Center 2047, several playgrounds, and borrow the sports hall in the basement of the city hall.

For preschool children enrolled at Eken, the curriculum for preschool Lpfö 18 revised 2025 applies, and for the enrolled after-school children, we base our work on the curriculum for elementary school, preschool class, and after-school care Lgr 11 revised 2019.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a diabetes assistant at Eken, you will follow a child with diabetes throughout the preschool day. Your work will be scheduled according to the guardian's schedule, so some flexibility will be required. The work will primarily be performed during the day on both weekends and weekdays.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

• Education and experience with diabetes
• Previous experience as a diabetes assistant

Meritorious:

• That you are a childcare worker, nursing assistant, or preschool teacher.

Personal qualities:

• Flexible and attentive as you will follow the guardian's schedule.

If you are otherwise a suitable candidate, training will be offered as soon as possible in the position.

OTHER

In connection with the interview, you as a candidate need to provide proof of citizenship in Sweden/EU/EES or a valid work residence permit.
